Taiz In an achievement that embodies the spirit of collaboration between international and local entities, the School Feeding Project – Healthy Kitchen in Taiz Governorate celebrated the distribution of its one-millionth meal since its launch in the districts of Sala, Al-Mudhaffar, and Al-Qahira.

The project, funded by the World Food Programme (WFP) and implemented by the Humanitarian Development Program (HDP), continues to provide a healthy daily meal to more than 30,000 students. This initiative aims to improve children’s health, increase school attendance rates, reduce dropout rates, and create a safe and motivating learning environment.

Hayel Saeed Anam & Co group played a pivotal role in supporting the project by constructing and furnishing two healthy kitchens in Al-Shaab and Al-Salam schools, which strengthened the project’s capacity for sustainability and expansion.

During the ceremony attended by staff working in the two kitchens, project leaders expressed their pride in this milestone, affirming that reaching one million distributed meals marks a turning point and sends a message of hope that education and health are possible even in the most challenging circumstances.

This project stands as a model of partnership and integration between local and international efforts, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting the future of children in Yemen despite the country’s ongoing challenges.
