A training program has been launched in Taiz Governorate for 70 male and female teachers.
The program covers 50 teaching skills and spans six months, as part of the International Professional Teaching Certificates (IPTC) project. This initiative is a collaborative effort between The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, Hayel Saeed Anam Co & Partners, King Saud University – represented by the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Studies – and the Humanitarian Development Program, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Yemen.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Rabee Bazel, Supervisor of the Hayel Saeed Anam Group in the Taiz region, Mr. Ahmed Al-Qadi, Project Officer in Taiz Governorate and representative of the Human Development Program; Mr. Mahmoud Al-Bakari, Director of Associations at the Office of Social Affairs and Labor; Mr. Ahmed Ali Naji, Deputy Director of the Office of Education in Taiz Governorate; and Mr. Youssef Ghaleb Bin Ghaleb, Head of the Guidance and Curriculum Division.

Mr. Ahmed Ali Naji, Deputy Director of the Office of Education in Taiz, praised the tremendous efforts made by the supporting and implementing entities to ensure the success of this pioneering project. He emphasized the importance of trainees making the most of the opportunities provided and applying the acquired skills in classrooms to enhance the quality of education.

The project represents a strategic step toward developing teachers’ capabilities and promoting modern teaching practices aligned with contemporary educational requirements. It has gone through several phases, starting with the nomination of teachers from schools, followed by a pre-assessment and motivation scale, and culminating in a selection process overseen by a scientific committee from King Saud University in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Yemen.
