On Tuesday morning, the activities of the “Train-the-Trainers” course officially commenced in Aden Governorate as part of the International Professional Teaching Certificates (IPTC) project. The program includes the participation of 20 male and female trainers, funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen and the Hayel Saeed Anam Group & Partners. It is implemented by the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies on behalf of King Saud University and the Humanitarian Development Program (HDP) under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Nabil Al-Shaari, Director General of the General Administration for Qualification and Project Officer, welcomed the participants. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the supporting entities and emphasized that the program represents a qualitative leap that contributes to enhancing teachers’ skills and granting them internationally accredited professional certificates. He urged the participants to make the most of the training to strengthen their capabilities and positively impact their educational performance.
Dr. Adel Baryan, Executive Director of the project, explained that the program aims to equip teachers with 50 essential teaching skills. He noted that the project targets the governorates of Aden, Hadramout, and Taiz, and contributes to improving the efficiency of educational staff and the overall quality of education.
In the same context, Mr. Mujib Al-Fateh, Executive Director of the Human Development Program, praised the efforts of the participating trainers. He affirmed that their dedication and commitment are fundamental pillars for the success of the project. In his speech, he stated: “We count on the trainers to create a tangible positive impact. Investing in people is the highest form of investment, and through it, we move toward a better future for education.”
Following the opening remarks, Dr. Adel Baryan led the training session, focusing on the foundations of delivering skills according to the trainer’s guide. He also addressed participants’ inquiries, who showed great engagement with the presented material.
The event was attended by Dr. Mona Al-Saeedi, Coordinator of Organizations at the Aden Education Office, Mr. Nabil Abdulmajid, Head of the Training and Qualification Division, and Mr. Waddah Al-Mahyubi, Director of the Qualification Department in Aden.
