Taiz – Monday, January 6, 2025: Today, the Humanitarian Development Program inaugurated the School Feeding Programme – Healthy Kitchen Project at Al-Shaab School in Taiz Governorate, funded by the World Food Program and Hail Saeed Anam & Co.
The Healthy Kitchen aims to provide 15,000 school meals daily to students in the districts of Salah, Al-Mudhaffar, and Al-Qahira. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Mr. Nabil Shamsan; Deputy Minister of Education and Director of the Technical Office, Mr. Mohammed Basalim; Mr. Fadl Qahtan, Director of the School Feeding Unit; Mr. Abdul-Wasi Shaddad, Director of the Education Office in the Governorate; Mr. Abdul-Malik Al-Rubadi, Director of the World Food Program Office in Taiz; as well as several members of civil society organizations.
The meals are funded by Hail Saeed Anam & Co. and the World Food Program, and implemented under the supervision of the Human Development Program according to high international health standards, ensuring the best services for our students.
The project employs 80 staff members from Taiz Governorate and is the result of continuous efforts to provide nutritious meals. In its first phase, the project targets 15,000 students in the districts of Al-Mudhaffar and Salah. It aims to cover 27 schools in the first phase, with potential for future expansion, under the supervision of the Education Office in the Governorate.
