شراكة بين الاوتشا والبرنامج 01 - Joint Cooperation Agreement between the Humanitarian Development Program and Yemen Humanitarian Fun 1

This project in 10-month will provide life-saving shelter assistance to the conflict-affected communities in Marib City District in Marib Governorate and Khab Wa Ash Sha’af District in Al-Jawf Governorate, Yemen. The project addresses the urgent needs of vulnerable local communities exacerbated by recent floods and storms, which have led to widespread displacement, food insecurity, and increased protection risks.

The project will target 3,199 displaced persons (736 men, 768 women, 831 boys, and 864 girls) in six priority IDP sites: Marib City District: Al-Maslah, Al-Meel Al-Jadeed, Al-Dhaban Factory, and Al-Saud Fortress; Khab Wa Ash Sha’af District: Al-Jawf and Al-Mushayniq. The selection of these sites is based on a rapid assessment conducted in October 2024, which revealed severe shelter needs in these locations.

The project aligns with the Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan 2024 (HRP), particularly Strategic Objective 2 – to improve the living conditions and resilience of vulnerable women, girls, boys, and men affected by crises through timely and safe assistance.

The proposed shelter interventions are designed to contribute to the Shelter Cluster’s objectives by providing timely life-saving emergency shelter and non-food items (NFIs) to families affected or displaced by conflict, extreme weather conditions, and natural disasters, through the distribution of NFIs, emergency shelter (tents), shelter maintenance support, and transitional shelter assistance to the most vulnerable internally displaced women, girls, men, and boys in underserved IDP sites in Al-Jawf and Marib. It also enhances support and contributes to improving life-saving protection and the living conditions of the most vulnerable women, boys, girls, men, and persons with disabilities.
